After the insertion of a hormonal iud . I started eating a lot and developing stress and anxiety.

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?  I couldn’t play with my kids , I has no energy to clean or even walk up a flight of stairs .

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?  I saw a picture of myself posted on ig , and I was ashamed of how big I let myself go.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?  I started logging meals on mfp and going to the gym .

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?  Within 3 months I started seeing results.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?  Finding time to exercise , living in a household were food and snacks were always around , stress of school .

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?  What kept me going was seeing how much of a better mom I was becoming for my twins . The added energy gave me the boost I needed to be there for them .

DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?  I hit a plateau at 171 and I started to eat every two hours to activate my metabolism . I am now down to 160

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?  About 6 months

DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?  Yes , I am a bridesmaid in a wedding and I purchased a size smaller because I knew I was going to lose weight . I tried the dress on and it was way too big !

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?  I still eat some of the same things , but in moderation . I don’t overindulge and I drink more water .

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?  I am soo much more physically active , I enjoy cleaning and walking and I try every class the gym has to offer .

MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS

  1. Drink plenty of water
  2. Don’t deprive yourself of foods you love ,
  3. Eat in moderation
  4. Go to the gym !
  5. Follow people on your journey on social media !
