Real Weight Loss Success Stories: Anita Made The Time To Lose 222 Pounds
I was writing in regard to the AHA Moment. My name is Anita Mills, My excuse for not losing weight was that I thought I had plenty of time and would just do it later. I was just not motivated with losing weight. It was not until my Doctor Jon Walz pulled me aside and told me that if I didn’t do something about my weight that I would shorten my life by 25-30 years. At that moment I realized it was not fair to my family (Husband and 2 sons) that I had done this to myself. I decided that I had too much to live for and had to do something and that enough was enough. I weighed 382 pounds at my heaviest which was on 8/17/2009 and I am now down to 160 pounds. I changed the way I looked at eating. Instead of living to eat I now eat to live. Food is fuel! I now eat 6 small portion meals every 3 hours and with no surgery, fad diets or pills or potions I have lost 222 pounds over the last 16 months I am now at a healthy weight! It took me 13 months to lose 200 pounds and now I have lost a total of 222. I feel fabulous at 160 pounds and I am able to do so much more with my life! Before I couldn’t do any excercise because of my size and walking was even hard. I now walk everyday and exercise on a regular basis. My Doctor gave me 4 very simple tips to put me on the road to success. He called it my “Not Diet” 1. Eat 8oz of any food every 3 hours 2. No sugary drinks 3. Don’t skip a 3 hour meal 4. Don’t tell anyone what you are doing. Those 4 simple rules and setting my mind to it I was successful in losing the weight and moving into a more healthy lifestyle and I know that I have extending my life by the choices I have made. It took a decision of me to take charge of myself and to stop blaming everything and everyone for my weight. I feel fantastic! Anita Mills, 42 years old.
