I eat really well all during the week… fiber bars, cereals, oatmeals, tons of fruits and veggies at my desk. I drink Yerba Mate instead of coffee. I use fresh veggies and whole grain pastas/rices in my dinners every night. Fruit cocktail for dessert… I walk everywhere, take the stairs every chance I get.. OK, I live in NYC, so I shouldnt get much credit for those…
Then comes the weekend… I completely pig out starting Friday night. Pizza, cookies and anything else I enjoy slow cooking (lasagna, mac n cheese) I love comfort food! I remain active by running around with my puppy in the dog park and using my wii fit.
My strategy was every little bit counts and always reward yourself at the end of a good week!
I went from 165 to 123 in 2 years (a little up and down along the way-which I never let discourage me) and I was a skinny 123 lb bride on 3/20/10. Confidence shined through in all my photos from that day and Im super proud.
