One last one more time…

Read her success story! Before and after fitness success motivation from women who hit their weight loss goals and got THAT BODY with training and meal prep. Learn their workout tips get inspiration! | TheWeighWeWere.comWhen I was a child and imagined my life as an adult, I could have never foreseen the harsh reality I would face in late 2006.  I was a 33 year old widow.  I was a college drop-out.  I was in self imposed exile from society.  I was borderline hypertensive.  I was in constant pain from a recent back surgery.  I was morbidly obese and I was miserable.

After losing my husband 5 days prior to our 2nd wedding anniversary in 2004, I began to truly retreat into a world of binge eating and seclusion.  I was hiding behind work and I was engaging in behavior that was damaging to my mental and physical health.  I was truly losing every sense of myself and was becoming morbidly obese. I was on the verge of a health crisis.  After surgery to repair a herniated disc and warnings of being put onto blood pressure regulating medication, I was advised that the only real way to alleviate my health issues was significant weight loss.  Although I secretly longed to have weight loss surgery, I knew that the only way I would maintain a healthy life was to give old fashioned healthy eating and exercise a shot “one more time”.

This has been my last “one more time”!!  I joined Weight Watchers on 01/08/07 and although I have stumbled a little along the way I have never fallen!  With the loving support of my family, friends and my Weight Watcher’s leader Fulvia, I have lost almost 140# and am within 7# of my goal weight of 164#.  My blood pressure is now normal, and I no longer have back pain.  I have completed a 5K and 10K competitive walk and plan on walking a ½ marathon this fall!  My newfound confidence has also helped me renew friendships, return to college to complete my degree and embrace a new love in my life.  Not only has Weight Watcher’s helped me see success at the scale, but it has helped me to find a successful path in my life.  After I reach Lifetime status I would like to take my success and my experiences and “pay them forward” by becoming a Weight Watcher’s leader and helping others find what I have found!
