My name is Cathy and I’ve been battling with my weight all my adult life. I seen how my mom struggled with her weight all of her life and the health problems that came from it. I knew I was looking at my future through a hour glass.
I decided then that I needed to do something soon before I had any health problems. But it took me awhile to come to grips also that I had a food addiction problem as well and I couldn’t do this alone anymore. I needed help.
So in 2010 I went to find a bariatric surgeon & a nutritionist to help me relearn how to eat again. I knew this wouldn’t be a quick fix to my problem with food or a cop out for not doing it on my own. I had to work for it still, and this was just a tool to help.
I had to do the rest on my own. I had to be retaught how & what to eat. I took up bellydancing and started playing tennis again after years of putting it off. Its now been a little over 2 years and I’ve lost 165 pounds. I feel more alive & engeric then ever before.
I’ve regained the love of excerise again. I’m so glad I went through this journey cause I know now the skys the limit and I’m never going back.
