I have always been pretty conscious of my weight, but my problem began after suffering a Traumatic Brain Injury in July of 2019 this injury left me immobile for some time so naturally I gained extra weight

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?  Like I stated before I have always been weight conscious, I was always trying out the latest diet trends. I have always been pretty self conscious it was not until recently were became more self-confident. I believe the time I spent really learning myself recently is when I was able to get rid of the negative body image I’ve battled with my whole life.

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?  The turning point for me was when I was nearing the end of my recovery and I was really able to look at myself in the mirror. After really looking at myself, I weighed myself and when I saw 200lbs I realized that was more weight than I gained in both of my pregnancies so I knew then something had to be done.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?  I did a lot of research!

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?  With the weight loss plan I developed the initial results were rapid.  30lbs in one month

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?  Having to learn to walk again, and really learn myself again

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?  Getting stronger/faster.  Motivational Quotes.  My kids will always be my motivation!.  I wanted to prove to everyone I could come back from my injury

DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?  It wasn’t until the end of my weightloss journey did I experience any sort of plateau and I just increased my level of exercise when I got strong enough to handle more

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?  Within the first 2 months

DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?  Each new exercise I was able to add to my work out routine was a victory for me!  Each week I would add more steps(walking) until I reached 5 miles!

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?  I was an emotional eater.  Mostly processed foods

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?  I hated the idea of working out before, but know I cannot get enough!  My favorite exercise in the beginning and even now was an early morning walk
