I got married and had 4 children in 5 years….never loosing all the baby weight. I just kept gaining….I quit looking in mirrors…. I loved to eat and hated to exercise. I made excuses for not going to the gym….(I don’t have a babysitter, one of the kids needs a ride here or there, I have this to do for one of the kids or that to do for my husband) Then at the age of 44 something clicked and I thought…my youngest is 19 what am I going to do? who am I? I had made myself Charle’s wife… The kid’s Mom but I had lost myself. I decided it was finally time to quit making excuses, and put me first. I made myself go to the gym. It wasn’t easy ….I started slow but I made myself go 6 days a week. Sometimes I had to tell the kids “No I can’t do that now but I can after I go to the gym” (the first few times that shocked them but they got through it just fine) ….I started eating Smart Ones TV dinners and counting calories. It was hard work and there were times I slipped but I did it. I am now 47 and feel better and younger than I did 20 years ago. I ride horses and roller coasters now. On our last vacation we went zip lining, white water rafting, and ATVing…..all things I could never have done at almost 300 pounds. I always had support from my family, but it took me wanting it bad enough to finally do it…..You can do it to!
