I started developing weight problems after I had my son and lost my grandmother back in 2008. Losing my grandmother was the hardest thing I have ever went through, She was my world but I also gained an angel my son Jamon when he came into my life my whole world changed for the better.
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE? My weight affected me in so many ways I stopped wanting to go places every time my friends would ask me to go out I would make up an excuse so I wouldn’t go.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY? Going to the doctor and being told that I may be a pre diabetic and may not being able to have kids in the future because of my weight. Hearing that really opened my eyes also seeing my son I knew I had to live not only for me but also for him.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED? The very first thing I did was research healthy foods and recipes, I then started looking at workouts that I would like (Zumba) is my bestfriend!!
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS? I would say within my first month!!
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING? It was plenty of times I wanted to give up but looking at my family and looking at my before and after pictures that I always take kept me pushing. It’s not easy and does not work over night it’s really a mind and dedication thing you have to want it!
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM? No, I haven’t hit any Plateaus

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER? I didn’t really eat a lot of junk food I just really loved Sodas!! Dr. Pepper was my favorite soda I use to love Zaxbys fries also!!
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER? I love Zumba I do Zumba twice a week for 1 hr. When I was heavier I use make excuses to work out but not no more!!
