Ice Water Helps Burn More Calories! Read how…

woman-drinking-waterDrinking ice water (39 degrees Fahrenheit) increases resting metabolism and burns more calories.

Israeli scientists gave obese 9-year old children a glass of ice water and found that resting metabolic rate increased by on kilocalorie per minute for nearly an hour!  

This doesn’t sound like much, but normal resting metabolism is only about 1.5 calories per hour.

Ice water is no magic bullet against obesity, but it might help a little.

    well of course its true, see your body needs to heat up the water to body temp thus Burns more calories 🙂
