WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?

The weight started creeping slowly when I turned 30 but took a turn when I quit my job to be a stay at home mom. Going from a 9-5, interacting with People, to interacting with kids all day in my home brought on signs of depression. I binged my way through my days.

I always thought to myself that I would make a big change before turning 40. On my 35th birthday, I told myself that would be my last unhappy, uncomfortable birthday.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I joined an online support group and learned what clean eating meant. I went all in. Throwing all the junk out and cooking st home versus eating out. I started doing at home workouts from my living room while my 18 month old napped.

I ate fast food every single day. McDonald’s was my poison. I binged in sweets and chips st night until I was sick to my stomach.

When I was heavier, going up and down stairs would wind me. I would have difficulty squatting to get clothes in and out of my home dryer. I started working out 30 minutes a day and slowly started building strength and loosing weight. I now workout 6 days a week 30-60 minutes a day.

MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS

  1. I make exercise the first thing I do before I start my day or it won’t get done.
  2. Rewarding myself with a cute top or workout pants instead of food when I’ve done good.

Hi. I love reading inspiring stories like yours. I was wondering what online community you were talking about joining. I don’t have a lot of support in my life as I begin my weight loss journey and I struggle with motivation a lot. I’m down 16 pounds but still have many more to go. It would be nice to have someone who understands and supports what I’m doing to talk to every now and then. Thanks, Maria
