Weight Loss Before and After: I Lost Over 70 Pounds And Finally Was Comfortable With Myself
It started out with a picture. The one labled “At the Beginning”. I saw it and I was mortified. I knew my weight was increasing. But that picture, coupled with a shopping trip because I had no clothes that actually fit anymore, pushed me over the edge. I knew I had to do something or I wasn’t going to be able to be the mother I wanted to be. That’s when I joined Weight Watchers.
I’ve done the program successfully before, only to eventually gain the weight back. This time, I joined an online challenge. That helped me start exercising 5-6 days per week, as well as be accountable for my choices. I had to check in daily with these women. We challeneged each other to different health goals each week. It was wonderful having some “help” in this journey. And thanks to them, I lost nearly 70 pounds.
I’m not quite to my official goal weight, but I am lighter than I’ve been in 15 years. I reduced my cholesterol and blood pressure. And, for the first time in a really long time, I’m comfortable with myself.
