Crispy Kale Chips – 174 Calories

These super food chips are the perfect alternative to potato chips. Try them with any seasoning you like, including low-sodium shakers like Mrs. Dash.

1 bunch kale, tough stems removed, then cut into squares approximately 2 inches x 2 inches
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne (optional)
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste


Preheat the oven to 300ºF.

Place the kale pieces on a baking sheet and drizzle with the olive oil. Massage to evenly distribute the oil as much as possible. Sprinkle with the paprika, garlic, cayenne, vinegar, salt, and pepper then massage once again to combine. Bake the kale until they become crisp, about 25 minutes. Allow to sit on the baking sheet for another 5 minutes so that they can continue to crisp then enjoy.
