WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I am recently retired from 28 years in law enforcement, the last two I spent sitting a desk and just putting on the pounds.

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
When I retired in February of 2017 I decided to rescue a puppy. When I took her for her first walk it was like I ran a marathon and that was just one city block.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
The turning point for me was getting on an airplane and needing the seatbelt extender, the flight attendant was awesome she hid it under her arm and made sure nobody saw but I was still so embarrassed I wanted to get off the plane.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
First thing I did was contacted a friend who is a personal trainer. He started me off slow kept me motivated and would not let me quit.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
I personally did not notice until the third month when my clothes started to look like I was wearing a tent. But my friends and neighbors started to notice and asked me what I was doing.
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Never want to give up. I feel aweasome and love the compliments

It took me six months to shed 100 lbs.

My non- scale victory was not having to shop in the “big and tall” section

When I was heavy I would eat anything that looked and tasted good my favorite was pizza.
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Today I combine LISS with HIIT cardio 6 days a week. I also do my weight training.

Start slow. There will be days when you just not going to want to train but for me, those seem to be the days when I have my best workouts
