WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
Iv alway been over weight, I was a chubby child. But when my mum passed away I did like on the pounds. Food and drink became my comfort.
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
It got to the point were I was drinking in my own in the house; because i couldn’t find any nice cloths to fit. That got me really down and the fact I was single.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
Well I met my partner Jessica, she introduced me to slimming world. I didn’t want to lose Jess so I tried my hardest to turn my life around.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started out just health eating; then invested in a Fitbit and started going on walks.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
I was that big that it was after only a few weeks that I felt like I had more energy.
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
The hardest part for me has been cooking healthy, Iv had to totally learn how to cook basic things again.
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Everytime I had a cheat day, but everytime I dropped a cloth size kept me going and binning my old cloths.

It’s taken me a year to get to were I am now

Yes that how it is now, Iv put 3 pound on but my cloths fit better. So I must be building muscle.

It can’t be compared, avoid sugar ! Fats! No ready meals all home cooked
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I try to goto the gym 5 nights a week and I’m more active at work.

- Take it slow, one change at a time. Introduce diet then exercise not at the same time
- Snack on nuts avoid even low fat chrisps and chocolate
- Drink lots of water
- Set realistic goals
- Measure your self as well as weighing
