WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I gained weight after I got pregnant with my Beautiful daughter.. I believe my hormones changed and I have been gaining rapidly ever since.
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
I have always been self confident and gaining weight took away some of that and affected my relationship with my daughter’s dad. It made me jealous and conscious and I hated that.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
My turning point was after I turned 30 and I tried wearing clothes that I loved and they couldn’t fit.. I just wanted to be confident and wear whatever I wanted ..
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started by walking five to six days to my neighborhood park … I started eating strictly salads but after a while I realized I had to change that … I researched what foods to make and how to go about eating right… I started buying organic and farm fresh foods.. healthy oils Omega 3 etc .. I changed my entire lifestyle.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
I saw results from the first month, after the second month I didn’t see any movement on the scale so I got a measuring tape and saw difference in inches
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
My family was used to eating unhealthy and at first they were complaining about eating healthy. I work full-time and I’m a mom so I had to wake up earlier and go to bed later to achieve my weight loss.. also I have nerve problems due to untreated pinched nerve so I had to exercise to keep from constantly getting pins and needles in my legs
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Yes I wanted to give up a few times but I kept an image in my head and I kept going
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
I hit quite a few plateaus … I got a measuring tape to help show me results and I took alot of pictures to compare and I prayed
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
It took me 7 months to lose most of the weight

I’m a stress eater … When I’m happy or depressed I don’t eat but when I’m stressed out I eat everything… I used to always bake cakes, cookies, brownies and I used to cook extra helpings of food.
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I do alot more now and I can run nonestop and I have a Fitbit so I do step challenges
