Weighing in at 430 lbs, I was ready to give up. Despite my husbands undoubtable loyalty, motivation and love for me, I was ready to leave this pain ridden life and body, and rest with my mother.
I knew I had to make a change, I had to change my life and I was the only one that could do it, and it had to be for me.
The next morning, January 5th I woke up and knew the light this morning was the end to my darkness. I started. I started with a new lifestyle! No diet, No cleanses, just good food and exercise! I didn’t run out and buy a gym membership for the year to tell myself commitment but lack follow through. I just started. I said what can I do today. I told myself I can walk. So I said I’ll walk for 5 minutes today. And do you know what happened? I failed.
I walked for about 3 minutes and couldn’t anymore. I tried, and then I cried, because I had failed, but I tried again the next day and I got closer to my goal and I didn’t let failure hold me back from my bigger goal, the better life I had in mind and in my future.
I surround myself with positivity and best efforts of myself and others. I eat right and exercise with my husband and am supported by those that truly care about myself my health and my Longevity.
My inspiration is from seeing my own power in results and determination; as well as feeling the positivity and support of those I’ve chosen to surround me in my life.
And I stay focused mentally: by choosing to see the bigger picture of success that has been and will continue to be my life.
I stay focused emotionally: by reminded myself- have a tough skin for those that have not walked in your shoes and may not understand your journey because maybe they have not experienced their own.
