Sleep apnea, hard to walk, borderline diabectic, depressed high blood pressure and leg problems
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
Just being so unhappy and unhealthy and getting older. My father had a quadruple by- pass and my grandmother died of a heart attack. Which really got me thinking about heart health and changing my life.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started by cutting out fast food and walking around the block which hurt so bad I would cry.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
About 6 months

I think now that I’m closer to my goal weight its been hard and I sometimes feel like giving up. But I’ve come to far.
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Yes for a year I stayed the same. I changed up my diet and my workouts. I also kept trying to be positive so my body would be less stressed and continue to lose weight.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
I also quit smoking!!
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Low carb and little meals throughout the day. I drink way More water. No pop and really no fast food
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I work out 4-6 times a week. When I was heavy I could barely walk or stand.
