WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I always had a weight problem. I realized I was developing a weight problem in my freshman year of high school.

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
I was lazy and very unmotivated to do anything. I couldn’t keep up with my friends when they played sports and it dragged the way I viewed my self down.

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
The turning point of my weight loss journey was when I got my heartbroken by this girl I liked. I told myself, “I need to make a major change in my life” after that.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started by keeping it simple. Took it a day at a time, would walk on the treadmill for just 1 mile everyday and before you knew it i was running on the treadmill for 5 miles.

You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to start to be great!

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
I started seeing results after about two weeks. Not only i was seeing results, but i was getting compliments left and right. I started seeing drastic results in about 3 months of my journey.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
one challenge i had to overcome was me being motivated for all the wrong reasons. Like i said, i got my heartbroken and wanted to get revenge by making her regret. I realized that my way of thinking was all wrong and i started focusing my motivation on my future wife. One day I will have kids and would like to be able to run around with them and see them grow up to have kids of there own.

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Yes, i believe there is a point where we all want to give up! it’s the greats that keeping on pushing through even when they feel like giving up that come out on top! I kept on going because I knew I had a dream and a goal to accomplish!

DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
yes, it was a little more challenging for me because I was trying to loose my stomach at the same time gain muscle. a couple months ago my weight did not shift for about a month, but I did see muscle gains!

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
it took me about a year to loose a little over 100 pounds.

DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
Of course! my muscle gains is a big victory for me. also, how I view life and go through out my day is a huge victory.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
when i was heavier I attune ever, what ever. I was eating at the wrong times and mostly junk food. A big problem I had to overcome was eating late at night. there would be nights when I would down a whole bag of chips in one night. Now, that i have took on the transformation journey i make sure I have 4 to 5 healthy meals a day. I don’t really snack anymore, but when I do it’s very light.

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
when i was heavier I couldn’t keep up with my friends when we played sports. Also, i was extremely lazy and didn’t enjoy being outside. Now that i am more in shape my friends have a hard time keeping up with me! I also have learned to love the outside!

MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS

  1. Stay motived, stay dedicated, and you will see results! without motivation you will not be dedicated and without dedication you will see no results!
  2. Cut the sodas or any sugary drinks from your diet. you will be amazed with the results you get by just doing that!
  3. Eat healthier meals 4 to 5 times a day! this will limit your snacking and will give you more energy.
  4. Drop your excuses!
  5. there comes a point on your journey where you have to stop looking at the scale and look in the mirror to see your results. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat does!
