WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
When I was about 14 years old my weight started progressing,and food became more of an object. However,I never had a problem with the way that I looked. No matter what I always thought I was beautiful.
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
Becoming over weight stopped me from a lot of exercise. I love running,and it was a challenge for me to do that without my heavy breathing.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
My sophomore year of highschool one of my great friends started on diet on weight watchers,I asked a couple of questions and scooped in all the information given,and took action and did it comepletly on my own.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started off by simply cutting out sugar. That was my biggest thing! Cake,chocolate,cookies ,ice cream etc. and from there I increase my excerise and dropped 30lbs right there!
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
After about a month I started to see my body changing. I was pretty amazed at how my body transformed itself into a completely didn’t person.
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
To be completely honest,I never took it as a challange,anything I wanted to do,I did it. All on my own,with my own support.
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
There were times where I saw food I knew I shouldn’t be eating. Which I usually use for the weekends(cheat meal) but I didn’t do it! I stuck with my guns and kept going.
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
After I’ve rrvahed about 177lbs it started to become a little harder to nudge,but I did it,I pushed myself harder at the gym and surprisingly increased my calories with more veggies and protein.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
I lost exactly 100lbs in one year
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
Confidence. Confidence is something I learned to do,which I believe is more important than anything else in this world. Without it,it’s hard to know what it is you’re aiming for,self love before anything.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
It’s a lot better! I find myself with SO much energy,and smiles when I’m working out. I can run for hours on end.
