My weight loss ‘Aha’ moment came during a Weigh Down Workshop seminar. It was like light bulb went off in my head! Gwen Shamblin the founder of the life changing class was speaking the truth! That diets were like an incubater, focusing us more and more onto food. She was right. The more I dieted, the more I thought about and focused on food. I was filling a hole in my heart with food. I learned to focus on God and find a relationship with HIM, that would fill me up so that the desire to eat when I wasn’t hungry would go away. I began eating ONLY when I physically hungry, and stopping when I was physically satisfied. I lost all my weight very quickly and have kept it off. I am forever grateful but amazed at how this is just common sense, yet it has escaped us as a society. Eat when your hungry! Wow what a concept. It really is that easy. I didn’t excercise or eat diet food. Regular food, regular activity, regular sized clothes! YAY!
