WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I started to develop a weight problem about a year ago! I woke up Jan 2nd 2016 and had enough how I looked and made that change and never looked back!!!
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
My weight affected aspects of my life, I was always tired and always had to take naps. I had a problem breathing, and I just didn’t feel like myself anymore to the point where I never took my shirt off and never wanted to go to the beach!
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
The Turning point was when my ex girlfriend and I broke up and for some reason something she said to me really woke me up! Once that happened I literally change my whole life style and never looked back!
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I got started by joining the gym again! I also found some great you tube videos by Brandon Carter and started intermittent fasting and HITT cardio and also combined strength training in as well! So I do my fasting and working out 6 days a week and take off on Sunday.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
I started to see results literally the first month, that month alone I dropped 10 pounds and once I saw that I knew I could do this!!!
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
The biggest challenge I had to overcome was literally just stop making excuses and make it happen! Once I did that I literally love eating healthy now and working out its a passion of mine!
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
I actually never wanted to give up once I got started, and what keeps me going is my work out partner!
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Yes I did! When I got to 210 pounds I was stuck there for a little bit…What I did was take in less calories and really step up my cardio game and once I did that I dropped another 10 pounds and I’m at 200 now!
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
From starting at 240 to where I am now which is 200 it took me about 4 1/2 months!
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
My daily diet is a lot of greens from salads to hard boiled eggs to steak and chicken, also a lot of vegetables! I don’t eat fast food anymore and really stay away from sugars! All I drink is water and Pellegrino sparking water!
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
My physical activity is through the roof! I do spin class three times a week, I strength train at least 4 days a week, I love to run now! My cognitive ability is amazing, I don’t take naps anymore and I just feel super happy and healthier then ever.
MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS
- Def look into Intermittment Fasting, that has changed my life.
- Just get to a gym and sign up! The hardest part is actually getting to the gym, but once your there it’s a totally different ball game.
- Stop eating processed foods and stay away from sugar! Drink a lot of water!!!
- Find a work out partner or have a Accountabilty partner!
- Just stop making excuses and make the change…Once your mind is made up the rest will fall into place
