something had to change… so I lost over 100 pounds
I had been big my whole life, or so it seemed. Now that I look back on pictures from HS my conception of what could be considered big had changed. I got to my heaviest weight before I got pregnant with my youngest daughter. After having troubles conceiving my Dr. recommended losing weight, it took a little under a year, but I managed to shave 30 pounds off my then 260 pound frame. After my daughter was born (and I had gained those 30 pounds back) I decided to join WW. It was offered through my work, so it was easy to go to meetings and I had a great support system. I started WW at my pre-pregnancy weight of 230, after 5 months I had lost around 40 pounds (70 from my heaviest). MY husband and I decided to try for baby number 2 and were wonderfully surprised as to how quickly we got pregnant with our 2nd daughter. WW makes you wait 2 weeks after giving birth to sign back up, as soon as I my two weeks were over I was back on the plan and I haven’t looked back since. I hit my goal of 160 two years to the date that I started WW (with a baby in between). Since then I have managed to maintain at about 155 pounds. I am smaller than I was in HS and I love exercising with my children and introducing them to yummy, nutricious foods. I am so grateful to WW and my family for all the support. It has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to spend many more years with my kids and husband. Years I may have not had with all that extra weight!
