Run to lose
I had reached a maximum weight of about 350 pounds in 1998, I started my weight loss journey a few months later, but with little success over a period of 3 years, I decided to try something different, by joining Weight Watchers in March of 2001.
Over the course of a year and a half, I lost 125 pounds. I also started running during this time and started entering races, just for fun.
Unfortunately my motivation wavered, I started gaining weight back, but I got it together over a year ago and have run several 10Ks and about to run my first half-marathon on November 15th.
Since December 1998, I have lost a total over more than 185 pounds.
I have not taken a diet pill, I have not had surgery.
I have formed healthy eating habits and and a happy “back of the pack” runner!
