WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
4 years ago, I had all sorts of health issues: fatigue, shortness of breath, irritability, etc. I couldn’t even go up/down stairs. Finally, my parents & doctors agreed I needed to go on a diet!

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
I was short of breath, tired, irritable, moody, & didn’t seem like myself

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
I was out of shape & needed to start eating healthy as I looked like a woman who was an expectant mother & I was getting teased at school/out in public!

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I was referred by my doctors, parents, & loved ones to a family friend who is my life coach & she told me at the time I lacked protein & she put me on diet/fitness plan I’ve stuck to since!

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
It was 3 months onward I started seeing results & I was amazed!

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
Taste of certain food, lack of funds, & being sore after workouts.

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
At first, I had felt as if I wanted to recede but after having a wonderful life coach & wonderful loved ones for a great support system & making it this far, NOPE!

DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Yes! I overcame them by cutting out sugary & starchy food & continuing my hard work & dedication!

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
4 years!

DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
Not really.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Balanced (I just follow my life coach’s plan she had set up for me when we’d consult as she had some meal plans wrote down)

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
It’s balanced out as I have my exercise routines typed out!

MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS

  1. Follow an exercise routine you’re comfortable sticking to
  2. Eat heathy & once in a while it’s ok to splurge!
  3. Don’t over exert yourself or you’ll have pains you don’t want to experience!
  4. Have a confident, optimistic, & positive approach towards life otherwise, you’re only going to plummet downwards!
  5. Smile & the whole world smiles with you, laugh & the whole world laughs with you.If you frown, you’re in for a surprise because who knows what they’ll deal you.
