I needed to lower my blood prssure and I weighed 265 lbs.
I joined my local YMCA. it was hard to get motivated until I found Zumba. I had so much fun when I went to Zumba. the more I went the better I felt.
I started at about twice a week and worked up to 10-12 classes a week. So far I have lost 85 pounds. I recently became an instructor myself to help motivate and inspire other people to obtain thier fitness goals.
With my wieght loss and Zumba I have started a new chapter in my life. I now weigh 180 pounds and a little more to go but I now love being healthy and fit its just feels so much better!

    2x a week? That’s awesome but I must say I started zumba at 240lbs & in a year going 5x a week I got down to 169lbs, my results are amazing and I truly love zumba! I stopped for awhile and gai ed nothing back, I just restarted within a week I already feel amazing letting all my energy out by dancing & may I add I never thought I could dance prior but with reading this post just know that all wieght loss varies so dont give up if in 4 months your not a barbie 😉 I averaged 5 to 7lbs a week…most importantly Im healthier for my daughters & spiritually stronger in my faith more than ever! We are all dancing queens & the dance floor is always waiting!!

    Having a heart condition and an underactive tyroid, I wasn’t able to heavy exercise with my plan. Lost 70 Pds in 13 months.
