WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I have been overweight for as long as I can remember, elementary school, middle school, and my biggest freshman year of high school, even the 2 years I went to college I was still overweight! It had been a problem my whole life!

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
My weight affected me in several different ways! I got my feelings hurt at school all the time, I could never find any clothes to fit me! It was miserable growing up and being that much overweight for all those years

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
The turning point for me was me just bein fed up with being the “fat” one, I tried so many different diets so I could “fit” in, I even resulted to bulemia at one point in life.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started eating what I knew was healthy — salad chicken veggies, etc and going to the gym and being a “cardio bunny” I hadn’t even been introduced to weight lifting at that time

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
About 2 months in I lost 20 pounds, and I was more than estatic, and it kept me going knowing I could really do it if I had my mind set to it and at that point failure wasn’t an option to me

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
The biggest thing I had to overcome was defientely the eating part! I was OBSESSED with food! I loved it, everything, chicken, fries, etc it took me awhile until I was able to just say no and eat something else!

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
My biggest motivation was all the supporters I had, the second biggest motivation that really kept me going was the results I was getting, once you take that first before and after picture and you see all the changes in your body, it makes you not want to quit because you can clearly see now that YOU CAN DO IT

DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
I have been doing my weightloss journey for about 2 years 115+ pounds lost and about 4 months ago hit a plateau! In the past 4 months I have lost 2-4 pounds (it fluctuates) but have lost 4% body fat in that time! I’m still trying to overcome it but have yet to give up on myself!

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
I lost most of it the first year and a half, the best year of my life hands down!

DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Now I eat 5-6 meals a day, I count my macros, I have an understanding on how to read a food label, then I ate anything I saw! I would eat all day everyday and it wasn’t healthy foods either

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Back then I didn’t go to the gym, I mean maybe once in a blue moon but now I go 5-6 days a week, and I don’t miss them! I stay for about an hour and have completely fallen in love with the weights and don’t only stick to cardio

MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS

  1. Track your macros. If you don’t know how, ask someone that does or even message me on Instagram and I would love to help you! To me it’s the most consistent, doable way to eat!
  2. Don’t ever ever underestimate yourself and say you can’t, because you can and you will! If you want it badly enough, you will get it
  3. Consistency is a major key!!!! If your not consistent and true to yourself you won’t get results! & results WILL NOT happen over night, trust the process and don’t give up, stay consistent!
  4. Consider weightlifting ladies!! A lot of woman are scared of the weights and think they will get bulky or to much muscle, but this isn’t the case, you won’t!
