Keeping My Promise To Myself
Dietary changes, portion control and cardio-based exercise helped me take off 45 pounds in six months. I’ve been able to maintain my current weight of 130 pounds easily since I reached my goal through continued smart food choices and exercise. I feel great and an added benefit is that my husband dropped 25 pounds as well!
Following my second miscarriage at 17 weeks gestation in March of 2007, I quickly packed an additional 20 pounds onto my weight which was already 25 pounds heavier than what I consider my ideal weight. On the night of my uncle’s 50th birthday party in June of 2007, I stepped on the scale in his bathroom and was shocked to discover that I weighed 175 pounds! Not long after that, my husband and I decided that we were done having children. I’d always promised myself that when we were done having babies I’d get back into the shape I felt best in so I did.
