“I regarded it as a bank account, ” she says. “I started off with 1,200 calories and once that was spent, I had to spend wisely.” At the height of her weight-loss program, she ate several small meals a day at around 250 calories per meal.

 

She lost 101 to reach 125 pounds. “Food is still the biggest challenge,” she says. “I still want to eat, but I have to make better choices. I never give in to failure. I know I’m going to have bad days – I just say never give up.”
