How I Lost It
I walk my daughter to school every day.
The trip is about a mile and a quarter each way, so it’s a great cardio workout for me — and my 10-year-old gets exercise too.
I watch my portions.
I measure out servings — 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1 cup blueberries for breakfast and 3 ounces of grilled chicken for dinner — but I eat as many veggies as I want. Fresh steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts are my favorites.
I track my progress online.
I enter my weight, everything I eat for the day, and my exercise on the free Web site myfitnesspal.com. It helps me stay honest with myself.
