70 pounds in one year

Find inspiration, motivation, and workout tips | 70 pounds in one yearI decided in January of 2012 that it was time to lose the weight that had been hanging on me for 10 years.My first goal was to shed 40 lbs, but it quickly changed to 70 lbs when I decided I really wanted to commit and make big changes.

It took me from Jan to the end of September to lose that 70 lbs.

I ate really healthy foods and stopped snacking on fatty things at night. I cut my portions and added tons of fruit, vegetables and raw nuts to my diet. Gone were the pastries and soda.

I started working out a little bit at first, using videos at home and gradually increased the time I spent exercising until I was able to complete the P90X dvd’s.

Since I lost that 70 pounds, I’ve kept up the healthy lifestyle choices and the weight has continued to come off. i’ve been shrinking more as i tone up through exercise and healthy living choices.

I feel so much better and younger and more alive than i did a year ago. I didn’t use any diet aids or pills or anything except stubbornness and willpower. I didn’t have money to join a gym, so I just borrowed exercise discs to do at home and I also use free online workout videos.

I’ve gone from a size 18 down to a size 4 in one year and I love how my life has changed.

If I can do it, anyone can. If you don’t like your body, decide to do something about it. You can find the time if it’s important enough to you. Your health and your life matter and you only compromise the quality of your own life if you don’t take care of yourself.

    That’s awesome! I have a home workout DVD that starts of with only 12 min of cardio. I was so out of shape I could barely finish it. I can do the NXT level now at 24 min!!
