WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I’ve had a weight problem pretty much since I can remember!
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
Other thank me not being comfortable in my skin and clothes, I would say not much! I have always been active and people would be surprised at how I could move for a “Big Girl” so I always tried to be better faster stronger etc. than “them”
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
When I got pregnant with my 2nd child and started off this time weighing almost what I did when I gave birth to my 1st.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I BELIVED that I could! I walked into the gym, got a membership started taking classes and completely changed the way I eat!
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
About a month and a half in, not much on the scale but my clothes were fitting loosely!
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
I’ve been very blessed and I can’t really complain I had to overcome my own mind! I had accepted my weight! I lost my best friend (my mom) ( that would take hours to go over)4 years ago and really didn’t have the desire to do much other than be a Mom! Although I’ve always been overweight off and on I totally let myself go!
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
This time? No way! Every single other time YES! I always ,always do good in the beginning and then one day I wake up and that’s it! I just stop!
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
The weight came off pretty consistently at first and then a complete halt it literally took 2 1/2 months to loose 6lbs! I told myself as frustrating as it was that I couldn’t stop, because there was no way I could continue to work that hard and my body stay the same!
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
I started January 5th and I’m still not done! Most of the weight came off in the first 4 months and it has been slow ever since.
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
Tons!!! I bend down without getting winded , I’m not ready to fall out during my workouts anymore, my closet is bare because most of my clothes are too big including my “SKINNY PANTS” and I just feel good! Accomplished I so empowered I feel like I can do ANYTHING and am so excited for what’s to come!

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Funny thing is I am in almost the best shape I’ve ever been in since my teens of course and I have had surgery and my knee and my wrist and I am in pain most days! I had to retire from my physically demanding career due to my injuries and I think about all of that time I wasted! I had a healthy body injury free and I choose to run it into the ground!

- Work Hard
- You can’t out train a bad diet!
- Do it for yourself
- Trust the process! Slow and steady is alright with me!
