WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I was heavy all my life.. I had lost 100lbs when I was 19 but then later in my age around 26 I just started to get bigger..I was depressed and gave up on all hope in a lot of aspects ..I was in an abusive relationship for 8 years but what kept me from ever taking my life was my beautiful blessing son
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
It affected me in all aspects of life..from the inside and out. I couldn’t go a lot of places with my son..from a simple bus ride because I couldn’t fit in the seat with him. To the beach cause people would laugh..I stood in doors and trapped my self. And hid
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
When I wanted to give up on life..I never showed my depression. Til one day I saw my son look at me crying and he hugged me and said mommy pls don’t cry..this boy..and I realized this is the love of my life..all these bad joices I allowed to define who I am..! How am I supposed to teach my son how to love himself and set an example.. I have to put all the love (besides my son because he gets all my love) and love me ! I can’t live like this anymore! I’m going to change my life !

I walked into a neighborhood gym scared as hell and said I’m here to change my life !

Being in public .fighting anxiety with no meds! Being embarrassed ! Bad knee.. Getting up period !
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
I wanted to give up maybe about 40 times. I looked back and see what I came from and once I saw that and my son I kept going and now its my life style…its my therapy.. Its who I am !
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Yes I’ve hit so many! I kept going and just changed my workout routine and switched up my eating.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
I’ve been working out since 2011 so almost 6 years !
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
Yes all the time especially wearing a size from a normal store!
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I ate every bad thing under the sun..for breakfast I had 8 eggs and bacon and sausage and bagels I ate hamburgers chocolate and pizza. Food was comfort
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I go to the gym five days a week..I go bike riding ..I go dancing.. I changed jobs.. I motivate ppl..I empower everyone and anyone I can! I’ve learned so much about myself !
MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS
- When you wake up drink warm water with lemon
- Portion your food !
- Eat only veggies and protein after 12
- Don’t give up ! Even when your tried don’t give up !
- Stay away from processed food !
