WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?

I’ve always had a weight problem growing up. I finally lost weight by 20 years old but I did it the wrong way with crash dieting, pills, and excess exercise unnatural to maintain. I gained it all back and plus more. After 5 years of blowing up to my worst I am now in the right mindset and on a proper and healthy journey. Currently 30 lbs down. Half way to my ultimate weight loss goal. But it won’t end there as MAINTANCE is the main factor as this is a lifestyle also. I want to focus on lifting soon and muscular growth.

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
Absolutely this has caused me to hide at home and fear social events or fear any decent outfits. I wanted all my clothes baggy and black. I tried every way to hid my weight. Low self esteem, self conscious, not knowing my full worth and potential, little confidence.

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
I’ve had many. After years of failing at diets or exercise my fiancé of 8 years proposing to me was the ultimate wake up call. I can’t keep hiding from everyone and everything. Many pictures that will be professional and permanent were soon to come. I want my wedding day to be phenomenal in regard to feeling my upmost best inside so I can let it show with how I carry myself on the outside.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started a consistent and healthy meal plan with Herbalife and got back into running consistently with HIIT circuits. I started 4-5 times a week. Stuck to my meal plan and just like that, full focus and dedication. It was all clear to me. I suddenly didn’t doubt what to do or how to do it. I was doing it. I am doing it. It feels amazing. Everyday gets better.

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
I am averaging 10 lbs down a month.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
Shin splints that flared up aggressively. Hurt murmur breathing patterns.

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Felling better, stronger, happier more focus is my motivation to keep going. I do not want to give up. I am motivated to be my best in my wedding in 3 months.

DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Sometimes I would feel like I’m at a plateau and not lose any weight for about a week and with pure focus I would emerge passed it.

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
I am down 30 lbs in 3.5 months.

DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
My daily outfits are getting super baggy. My fitted jeans that squeezed my belly tight and uncomfortable as rolled down below my belly now fit very comfortably and stay up and don’t hurt at all.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Up until I flipped the switched and started my journey my fiancé and I were habitual piazza and wing eats arlesst biweekly. If it wasn’t that then it was Taco Bell.

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
It was impossible for me to run before. Shin splints in fire like crazy to where I literally couldn’t feel my foot bend one in front of the other. Unable to do 5 push-ups even on my knees. Now I can run consistently and shin splints don’t kick in. Now I can slowly but surely do 10 dull push-ups.
