WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
After I gave birth to my second child is when I became overweight in 2006
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
being overweight: No energy, lack of body confidence and shopping was just way too depressing.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
was when I looked at myself in my sister’s wedding pictures in 2014 that made me realize I needed to lose weight.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I got a gym membership and start working out from home when I wasn’t able to make it to the gym. I also downloaded this app called “lose it” to help me monitor my calories intake.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
Within the first month of dedication I’ve drop 8 pounds
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
my biggest challenge was not snacking. I was the snacking QUEEN! I found healthy snack and found my balance with unhealthy snacks. I’ve learned to eat it in moderation and the correct amount per servings
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
yes, I wanted to give up at times because all the hard work I was doing results wasn’t showing. What kept me going was Life. And looking back on how far I’ve came
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Yes! I had to change up my workout regiment because the body get used to the same thing. I had to make my workouts more intense.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
Within a year because I had a share of up and downs. But there was no way I was going to give up on myself and health
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
No, I used the scale all the time
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
My daily diet consist of vegetables, chicken, seafood or turkey. And portion contro I rarely eat carbs but when I do it’s in moderation. When I was heavier I ate everything but vegetables and not portion control
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I have energy to go running and just being active. When I was heavier I was just lazy.
