WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
I started my addiction to food when i was in elementary school. The bad habits continued well in to my adult life.
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
My weight kept me from being the persob i was truly meant to be. Instead of being out going and social on my own i used alcohol to help me feel cool because i was so self concious about my weight and over eating. I was embarrassed to even shop for clothes or run in to people i knew.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
I just got tired of being a sloppy mess. Tired of being fat and tired. I wanted people to look at me as something other than the fat guy. I wanted something more for me than late nights of drinking and eating and just laying around wasting my life in front of the tv.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started off lifting weights and then i changed my diet. After that i got in to hiit and crossfit and thats when my fat loss and body transformation really started.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
I did not have the money for a good diet and supplements when i first started. I hated the thought of doing a jumping jack let alone a burpee.
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
I have never thought about giving up. Watching my body change and hearing the positive reenforcement from those in my life have kept me going.
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
A few at like 220 and 190. I overcame them by changing my diet and ramping up my activity.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
Got out of my shell and started instructing fotness classes and helping other people reach their goals.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
No more pizzas, hamburgers and alcohol. Now its all fruits veggiea and lean meat.
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
The most excercise i used to get was walking from the kitchen to the couch. Now i get up every morning and work out and sometimes the evening too.
MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS
- Limit your carb intake and rid of sugar.
- Stay active every single day.
- Dont let haters get you down by telling you to let loose and have a snack or skip a work out. They are only jealous.
- Dont beat your self up over the scale look in the mirror cou t your results there first.
- If you slip and fall in your journey get back up its not about being perfect. Its a journey ,a life style not a race to a finish line.
