WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
My turning point is when I was attending culinary school and they took a photo for the school I’d and I was so embarrassed and ashamed at how I let myself get to this stage

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
My first steps were to start going to the gym every day even if it was alone even for 30 minutes to begin I was going to do something little by little and push myself each week to do more

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
I started seeing results within the first 3 months

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
I had to overcome not always having the support of people to work out with me I had to realize that I had to do it for myself and not depend on help to put in the work myself . I am my own trainer

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
I wouldn’t give up but there were moments my body came to a pause and I had to push myself to try something different

DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
To overcome my weight loose plateau I had to do different activities try eating different things I had to become very strict with what I was eating

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
It took me a year and a half to loose most of my weight

DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
I have many non-scale victories the fact that I went from wearing a size 24 in high school to now wearing a size 10 is a victory in my eyes

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
My eating habits were eating anything I wanted I loved sweets especially and drank a lot of juices and sodas and would eat very late in the day

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I initially didn’t mind working out but I had to push myself to work out longer each day and to think about the out come my favorite thing to do was taking Zumba classes

MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS

  1. Go straight to the gym after work
  2. Keep a daily routine
  3. Play your favorite music
