HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
I was overweight mentally and physically. It affected the way I approached life, I constantly self sabotaged myself in all situations because my confidence was so low. I also lied to myself and rationalized all situations because of my fear
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
January 05. 2015 I was 396 and pre diabetic, I remember my brother taking a picture at my nieces birthday party and I literally thought the picture was stretched. I made the decision to get serious about my weight then.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I began with T25 everyday after work and only eating Purdue simply smart chicken for the first month. My boss and friend Kris Socie asked me after a month about coming to the gym with him and my friend Ovarus Williams in the mornings, that is when everything changed

I lost 25 pounds in my first month just doing T25 and after working out with my friends I really begin to build muscle, lose fat, and gain strength
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
The biggest obstacle I had to overcome is living my truth. I’m not sure how big that sounds but in order to be successful I had to learn to be completely honest with myself about my situation, my struggles/temptations, and honest about what I needed and still need to do to continue to see progress
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Whenever I do feel like taking a break My family and friends continued to support me and push me to keep going. My mother Tracy Bowser has always been fundamental in my journey as she lost about 50 pounds herself.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I had to learn so much about how food affects my body negatively and positively. My current meal plan in 5 small meals all healthy food with very little processed food. I used to eat very large meals like for example 2 double whoppers & 2 large fries from burger king with 2 apple pies from McDonald’s or a whole pizza
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
My physical activity is the area that stands out to me the most. I am constantly surprised and amazed at how I can run longer and lift more with every week. When I started I couldn’t run more than 15 seconds and I could only bench press 65 pounds but both of those metrics have improved greatly as well as being able to lift myself off the ground which I’ve never been able to do
