WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
At a very young at. Most liekly 10 or 11.
HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
It always made me self conscious. I would try to make jokes to make myself feel better but deep down I still hated my weight.
WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
When I lost my brother in a car accident. It made me think what if I only lived loved to the age of 24. Was I always going to be the fat friend?
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I tried just cardio at first but it just didnt seem to work. That’s when I found I loved bodybuilding.
HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?
Around 2 months after I started. I started noticing that places around my body were slowly toning up.
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
Diet was the biggest obstacle to overcome. Once I found out how to eat and why I eat what I eat it became easiet.
DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Several times I wanted to quit. One time in particular was when I hurt my back after a 30 day squat challenge. I couldn’t tie my shoes without intense pain. Over time I slowly healed and now I can squat as heavy as I did before.
DID YOU HIT ANY WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAUS? HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
Several times. The best way to break through a plateau is to sit down and look at your diet. Once you write every thing you are eating down you will find the problem.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO LOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT?
I started my weightless journey in October of 2014. The first year I had good weight loss but the second year I really kicked it into gear.
DID YOU HAVE ANY NON-SCALE VICTORIES?
My biggest non scale victory was fitting into a 34 Jean size. I can’t remember the last time I did that. Also when I fit into a medium shirt size.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Way more organized. I meal prep with my fiance every Sunday and Wednesday to make sure that I have the meals I need and don’t make bad food choices.
HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
Before it was non existent. Now I work out 4 to 6 days a week depending on what my goals are at the moment.

- Meal prep is essential.
- Never be scared to fail
- Study up on nutrition and how to real your goal.
- Always train to gain muscle. In the long run having more muscle will always result in burning more fat
- Always have fun. If your workout routine is getting boring spice it up.
