WHEN DID YOU START DEVELOPING A WEIGHT PROBLEM?
At the age of 7. I can remember being over weight.

HOW DID YOUR WEIGHT AFFECT ANY ASPECT(S) OF YOUR LIFE?
The weight affected my self esteem,my self image, my ability to play sports

WHAT WAS THE “TURNING POINT” THAT GOT YOU STARTED ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY?
My health began to get worse. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea,Gurd,Gallbladder removed,asthma,hypertension. I was prescribed meds for all of the above..

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started jucing and exercising. I researched bariatric surgery and decided to have the lap band procedure. After a year the band failed and I was revised to the gastric by pass. It has been the best decision ever. Its not a magic process however with diet exercise and restrictions the weight came off. Its necessary that I stay away from fried foods sweets and carbs

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DID YOU BEGIN TO SEE RESULTS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
Exercising…prior to I didn’t like to sweat..once I learned the benefits of exercise now Im addicted..

DID YOU EVER WANT TO GIVE UP? WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Yes my desire to live is what motivated me

Crossing my legs running a mile non stop off medications completed my 1st 5k size 10 clothes

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY DIET LOOK LIKE COMPARED TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
No fast foods no sodas minimal sweets more water

HOW DOES YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY COMPARE TO WHEN YOU WERE HEAVIER?
I exercise 4-6x a week prior none

MY WEIGHT LOSS TIPS & TRICKS

  1. Hang around like minded ppl
  2. Get active..walk in your neighborhood, home dvds , gym etc
  3. Get serious about your desire to lose weight/set realistic goals
  4. Drink lots of water cut the sugar intake
  5. Stay motivated by celebrating you!
